Pulverizer / Pulveriser PU 800

With modular rotors
For middle to high power size reduction from soft to medium hard materials the pulverizer / pulveriser PU 800 of Herbold is to be used. A reflux of large materials occurs by means of injector of the connected at the outlet side sieve machine. For materials sensitive to temperature special solutions with high air flow or cooled arrangements are available. Difficult materials are cooled with liquid nitrogen, before they are supplied to the pulverizer space. The necessary final delicacy is reached by a connected at the outlet side sieve machine which separates the parts of large material and brings to the mill once more. Different rotor equipment is available. Grinder discs belong to it with grooved, conical formed tools, blow cross with replaceable, peripheral arranged strips, pencil discs in execution without and blower rotor with high air flow.


Cold pulverizers of serie PU

For the size reduction of plastics especially sensitive to temperature serve the cold meal arrangements of the row of PU of Herbold. Among the rest, thus can be cooled PP-, PA and PET granulate materials before input in the fine mill by addition of liquid nitrogen or another coolant. The pulverizers are equipped with well grooved meal discs which also introduce a big interest in guts achievement beside the collision effect. The granulate materials must be thereby cooled less strongly than this is with fine mills the case which chop up exclusively by collision energy (pencil and whirl stream mills). The clearly lower nitrogen consumption decreases the operating expenses. For slightly grindable plastics the arrangements can be also pursued under normal temperature.
